Life is great...My kids are getting big...I can't believe how fast life is flying by.
Logan is in 3rd grade this year, Trystan is FINALLY potty-training SUCCESSFULLY!!! She will be 3 on October 2nd. Riley STILL isn't walking...why should he??? He has Logan and Trys to do all his bidding!

Birthday Night Out at Newport Beach

Maureen, Holly and I went out for Maureen and my birthday.
We traveled down to Newport Beach, walked around the shops, put our toes in the water, ate at Rockin' Baja Lobster, Visited Fashion Island, stopped off at a gas station for a couple of Redline drinks, and visited a 24 Hour Walmart!
We had a BLAST to say the least!!!
Many laughs and memories were made there!

I love you both...Thank you for sharing my birthday with me!!!!

I apologize! I really have been busy...I know its no excuse, because so has everyone else, but for some reason this blog is the last thing I ever think to do.

Cakes, Graduations, More Cakes ....and BABIES!!!

First of all let me start off by saying NO...my title DOES NOT mean I am pregnant again!!! NO WAY ....NO HOW!!! =)

SO, in order of events that have happened since my last post,my brother & sister-n-law, Joel and Erica, is having another baby, I have made a baby shower cake for a lady that ordered for her daughters baby shower, I have made a graduation cake for 2 kids that graduated this year, Logan has racked up some trophies at graduation, and I'm a new AUNTIE!!!!!!!

The first cake of this month was for a baby boy shower. The babies name was Xavier Zureal Flowers.

The second cake was for Julian Estrada, that graduated from Hesperia High School. The school colors are black and gold and the "mascot"(I guess) is a scorpion. The top of his cake had a scorpion on it.

The third and fourth cake was for Keith Zammora, John and Maureen's son. He graduated from LCA. I did a HUGE sheet cake and then I also did a Monster Energy Drink cake.

After all of that, we went to graduation on Friday night and my big boy, Logan made me so proud!!
He walked away with an A Honor Roll Certificate, trophy for math, trophy for spelling, trophy for phonics and a trophy for highest GPA. I was one PROUD mommy!!!

Saturday we woke up early and drove to Fresno to see David, Stephanie....and BABY RORY MACLAINE!!!!! I'm an AUNTIE!!! I am soooo proud of that baby!!! I didn't get to hold him this time because he is in NICU right now, but I can't WAIT to get my hands on him and kiss those WONDERFULLY fat cheeks!!! He is a DOLLY baby!!!
Stephanie was IMPRESSIVE!! That little guy weighed 10 lbs and 6 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is HUGE!!
David is an AWESOME proud Daddy!

We got up early this morning, Sunday, and headed back home. We pulled into town at 1:20 and went straight to church for Family Day. We played several games of Volleyball and had a blast...but now I'm exhausted!!!

I'm going to sleep!!!

Kids N Cakes

It's been quite a while since I posted...not because I have lacked the desire to do so, but because finding time to just sit and blog hasn't happened.
Since last posting, I have coordinated a wedding reception (Loved working with you Heather & Joe and Family), made cakes for Patrick and Ian's birthday party, went through Easter (WITHOUT an Easter Drama this year...Loved the break)(See Picture Above for the kids Easter Outfit), and created a CRAZY Topsy-Turvy cake for a ladies 40th Diva Birthday Party!!! (See Picture Below)

Sorry I am not posting more...but I am very tired and am in Fresno, in the middle of baking another cake for my cousin's bridal showere tomorrow.

Pismo Beach Family Vacation-Day 3

Yesterday started as every other day has on this wonderful vacation....Me sitting out on the balcony, loving life!!
Logan woke up around 8:30 and we sat out on the balcony together. Logan was shooting Pigeons that landed on our balcony with his rubber band gun and I was scoffing at the retarded people jumping in the ocean very scantily clad...in the FREEZING cold water!!
Trystan woke up around 9:30 and came to join Logan and I..She was freezing so she cuddled up next to Logan and watched the doggies playing on the beach!

After Riley and Phillip rolled out of bed we sent all the kids over to Nana's room and Phillip and I got to enjoy the room by ourselves!! It was PEACEFULLY QUIET!

When we finally decided to stop being lazy, Sarah, Erica and I left ALL of the kids with Daddies and Nana...and we got to go SHOPPING!!!!! It was WONDERFUL...a nice break!

Phillip and Larry took Logan, Trystan and Natalya to the beach to play in the sand again and Nana was very brave and watched Riley, Elayna and Trenton.
Joel went to get Nana a Starbucks to repay her =)
Papa was staying in his car, driving around, keeping sane away from the WILD children!

Of course being the females that we are....we shopped FOREVER!!! By the time we got back to the hotel (at 5:00 pm) we had 10 minutes left to get changed, get the kids changed and rush out to McLintocks.

McLintocks is also a little piece of Heaven....YUMMY!!! Maybe that is what is going to be served at the Marriage Supper Of The Lamb!! =)
When we walked in to McLintocks we found Phillip's picture hanging on the wall from his 15th Birthday. (See Picture Above)
We surprised Logan at McLintocks and had them sing Happy Birthday to him...His birthday was on March 11th! (Yes I am a HORRIBLE mom for not writing a blog to him! I will post pictures of his Army Cake that I made for him later) When we had Logan's picture taken we added it right by Phillip's.

After we stuffed our selves to death, Phillip and I and Nana took the kids to walk on the pier one more time. It was freezing so we only made it half way.

We all met up at the room later on and played Spades and Boggle. I went to the room and packed most of our stuff up and then played Boggle for a little bit. I crashed with Riley and Trystan around 11:00 and who knows when Phillip and Logan came to bed =)

Tomorrow we pack up and leave =(

Pismo Beach Family Vacation-Day 2

I do believe that Heaven will have a beach!! It has too...Heaven will be perfect, therefore there WILL be a beach! And I am requesting a Beach Front Mansion...Please God =) I'm making reservations now!

It has been absolutely beautiful here! We couldn't ask for more perfect weather!

We all woke up yesterday and just lazed around the hotel. We cooked biscuits and bacon and ate those for breakfast!

Around 11 everyone decided to take the kids down to play in the sand. For the first little bit I stayed up in the hotel and relaxed on the balcony while Riley slept for 2 hours.
Once I got down to the sand, I sat Riley down in it and he went to town....EATING THE SAND!!!! He would SHOVEL handfuls into his mouth and would SCREAM and cry if we tried to take it from him! (How dare I not let him feast on such wonderful stuff!!)

We all built a fairly good sand castle and got NICE and DIRTY!!!
The kids had SUCH a blast....and so did the younger ones =)

After we pried the boys out of the sand, we all took showers and went to eat at the BEST fish and chip place around, Pismo Fish and Chips!!! Also a little piece of Heaven!
On our walk back to the hotel we HAD to stop off at the Old Cinnamon Roll Shop! (I ate a Cinnamon Roll JUST for you David!)

We went back to the room, got all of our gear loaded up, and headed to San Luis Obispo for the Farmers Market. On our way we took a little detour and drove thru See Canyon Drive! I have never been that way before, but Joel and Erica talk about it ALL the time. That is the most beautiful drive I've ever been on!
You owe it to yourself to take the trip!

At Farmers Market we met up with Jason Skarta and Gavin Berrier. It was getting too cold for all the babies so we loaded up and came back to the hotel.

Trystan, Riley and I turned in around midnite and I have NO idea what time Phillip and Logan came back to the room. It was so late that Phillip postponed his 6 am fishing trip til Saturday!

We are having a BLAST!!! I wish we could stay for a week!

Pismo Beach Family Vacation-Day 1

The Booker Family is on Vacation!!!!

We are finally on our much needed, much wanted, much look forward to vacation!
All of the Bookers loaded up, in separate cars at separate times, yesterday and headed out to Pismo Beach.

Our trip started at 11:00 am. We headed out, unknowing that it would take us 7 HORRID, AWFUL hours to get there. It usually takes about 3 1/2 hours or so but traveling with a child who is being potty-trained is a WHOLE other game!!!
Poor Trystan had to go potty 17 thousand times...or so it seemed!

Our greatest story of the trip is about 10 minutes before we were to pull into the hotel parking lot, Trystan was DESPERATE!!! Phillip was telling her, "Squeeze your cheeks, Squeeze your cheeks!!" because this time it was more than just a quick "Number 1" stop...Well, being the EVER so smart child that my dear darling daughter is, she literally "SQUEEZED HER CHEEKS!!"...I will attach a picture so you see what I mean!

About half way between Rialto and Pismo is a great little place to stop off of Santa Claus Lane. (Thanks Holly for the tip). It has a great sand area for the kids to get out, stretch and play in for a while.
We stopped there and Papa and Nana joined us there for a little bit.

When we finally reached Pismo, we all got in our rooms, and then walked to Splash Cafe!!! HEAVENLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all went walking on the pier and of course Phillip and Logan had to whip out the fishing poles. Everyone was giving Phillip QUITE a hard time asking him how many fish he was bringing in. He did actually catch a pretty big fish, and then he cut it up and tried to catch a shark.....but that didn't happen..YET!!!!

After we ate the night was a little INSANE with all the kids crammed in our room...Elayna grabbed a HUGE box of Nerds and Skittles and dumped them all over our room. All the other kids went NUTS playing in and eating them before the adults could pick them up.

Our room is also a little taste of Heaven! We are all staying at the Sea Gypsy Hotel. It is RIGHT on the beach.
The weather is perfect here so far!
As I type I am sitting out on the balcony of the 3rd floor, looking at the beautiful waves!

Hopefully I will keep up with this every morning before everyone wakes up.

Noah's Ark...Or something like that

So yesterday I was contacted by a lady asking if I could make a cake with the theme Noah's Ark...
I was VERY confident to her that I could DEFINITELY pull it off...but as soon as I sent the email to her I thought, WHAT ON EARTH AM I THINKING! =)

Well, after working for 5 hours straight...here is what I came up with.
Again, everything is edible...even the Rainbow!
The lady requested a cake and cupcakes! I hope she likes them!!!

Bible Quizzing Tournament

Well we just had our first quiz tournament of 09!
We traveled to Bakersfield in hopes that we would have a good turn out both in quizzers/teams and in how our kids did.

I'm a proud mommy so let me take this moment to brag!!

Logan was in quizzing last year and really liked it but he needed alot of help to learn his verses. I was able to help him for the first few months but then I was put on bedrest and our lives turned TOPSY-TURVY!!!
This year Logan decided to be in quizzing again.
We told him we would help him as much as needed but we also wanted him to learn to study on his own.
He BLEW US AWAY!!!! He learned 3 verses so quickly it was amazing!
As the weeks went by he continued to do outstanding with learning and retaining his verses.
Come one week before the tournament he knew ALL his material and had a complete week to review!
We got to the tournament and Logan and Emilee Thomas were put on a team together!
They were SOOO cute their first quiz...but they lost. Logan was second highest scorer with 90 points.
They quizzed again and WON...the score was 130 to 0. Logan was the HIGHEST scorer with 120 points!!! AND HE QUIZZED OUT!!!!
They quizzed again and lost...Logan was the second highest scorer with 70 points!!!

In the end Logan and Emilee took 4th place AND.................
LOGAN GOT 3RD HIGHEST SCORER FOR THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT.........WITH 95 points per quiz!!

He is DEFINITELY taking after his Daddy!!!
I'm SOOOO proud of Logan...and all of our quizzers!

Paintball

Well...Logan can OFFICIALLY play paintball now!!! He is SO excited to get out there and play "Army"..(His words)

There is a story behind all of this.
Let me explain:
For a long time now all of the young and older boys have gotten together with thier dads and played paintball. Logan has been DYING to play, but he has NO idea what's involved.
I'm talking about the STING of getting hit!
Every since Logan has asked to play, Phillip has made a rule that the only way Logan was going to be able to get out there and play is if he let Phillip shoot him first. Noone around, no games, just go out a ways, stand there...and Phillip shoots him.
Phillip wasn't being cruel, he just wanted Logan to feel the sting. We didn't want him to get out there and start playing, get shot and start crying in front of all of his friends.
The other SLIGHT obstacle keeping Logan from playing was....no gun, no ammo, no cO2 cartridge, no gear...etc!!!
So that was the end of the story!

Well...me being a VERY avid "Freecycler", I am always watching the posts for cool and unique FREE stuff.
Last Saturday I got a Freecycle Email from someone in Redlands offering:
2 Spyder 2000 Paintball guns (still in boxes)
2 Loaders
1 cO2 Cartridge
1 complete box of paintballs
I knew there was NO way this was right!!! But me being me...I emailed her.
She said they were available..we drove out there, got the stuff and RAN LIKE MAD in case she changed her mind =)
We got home and put it all together and it seemed to be working. The cO2 was empty so we couldn't really test it out.
This started the FEAR and PANIC in Logan...he was TERRIFIED to be shot!
All week long we have been asking if he is ready...the answer remained the same NO WAY!!!!!!!!
Last night we were shopping at Walmart and I found Phillip over in the sporting goods buying a mask and cO2 cartridge...
"UH OH...Logan's Dead tonite" is all I could think!
We got home and Phillip told Logan to get outside....
After a small ordeal...we finally got Logan outside, Phillip shot him in the leg..Logan let out a little YELP...and was READY for war!!!
Of course he said, "That didn't hurt hardly at ALL"

So it's official....Logan's ready to fight!!!

I am currently having a blast making and decorating cakes. I would love for this to become a full time hobby but with 3 wee ones running wild around the house, I'm not quite sure that I will have the quite time, patience or concentration to be able to pull of some of the FABULOUS cakes that I would like to eventually make.

I have made a Princess Cake for Trystans 2nd birthday,

a very simple white cake for Elayna's 1st birthday
and last night I tried my hand for the first time with Fondant.

I had a lot of fun playing with the fondant but it is VERY time consuming!!!
Trystan thought I was playing with her playdough and she wanted to help! It's just like working with playdough!

We shall see where this takes us!!

This weekend I am making 2 cakes for a baby shower. I'm really excited about that.
I will post pictures when I get it done.

LNO

OK OK....So I have been absolutely horrible about posting lately! I'm getting into lots of trouble from my dear friends who want to see pictures posted on here of our latest "LNO"..so here they are!

As always me and 4 other CRAZY girls are always looking for an excuse to PARTY!!! So, being in the Holiday Mood, I planned a LNO (Ladies Night Out) for the 5 pack!!
We always have SUCH a blast together!
This time we went down to the Irvine Spectrum, ate at El Torito Grill, shopped like mad, went and visited Rogers Gardens, which is STUNNING, SPECTACULAR and AMAZING!! We got to Roger's Gardens about 15 minutes before they closed. That was a HUGE bummer. And man, they were SERIOUS about closing!!!! They kicked us out PROMPTLY at closing time! Sigh!!!
We had an absolute blast exchanging gifts, riding the Ferris Wheel (Jana you were SO brave), watching Maureen with the See's Candy Guy, going into the gas station for snacks and finding all kinds of interesting bumper stickers, and on and on and on we could go!!

I love all of you girls and I am so glad I have you as my friends!!!
Here's to MANY more LNO's and to greater friendships in 2009!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Can you believe its almost 2009???? I sure can't!!
In Jan 2009 I will have been married for 10 YEARS!!! Amazing!!
In June 2009 I will have been out of high school for 13 years!! Frightening!!!
In March 2009 Logan will be 8 years old!!! SAD!!!!
In June 2009 Riley will be 1 year old!!! WOW TIME FLIES!!!
In October 2009 Trystan will be 3 years old!!! REALLY??????
And in 2008, God was so UNBELIEVABLY good to my family...how could I ask for more in 2009????!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!! We sure did!
Here's a little re-cap on what we did for Christmas this year.
On Monday, December 22nd we celebrated Christmas with the Booker family!
On Tuesday, December 23rd we celebrated Christmas with our kids!!
On Wednesday, December 24th is when the ADVENTURE started....
Wednesday morning we got up, went to Pat & Hollys to pick up the other ponchos, magazines, etc. We ran to the Bookers for just a few minutes and said Hello!! We left there and went to Target on Summit. As we are unloading from the car, Phillip reaches for his wallet...and it's not there! He had done a service call earlier that morning and had forgotten his wallet in the car. So he dropped me, Logan and Riley off at Target and I did some last minute "Snack and Shoe" shopping while he ran home. We got our purchases done and we went to Chili's right there for lunch. After that we ran to Babies R Us on our way to Disneyland. I purchased a plastic rain cover for my stroller!! That was THE BEST $30 I have EVER spent!!! I will use that for EVER!!! It was AMAZING!!! SUCH A BLESSING TO HAVE!!!!
We finally headed out of town by about 3 and got to our hotel by 4. It was INCREDIBLE!!! The hotel was the Hyatt off of Jamboree near Barranca and Main in Irvine!
We got in the room and all settled in and laid the kids down for a nap. Logan CRASHED out, funny thing is he is the only one that was saying "I can't sleep, I won't take a nap". The other two started dozing off around 5 and I got a call from my parents saying...WE ARE HERE!!! We had connecting rooms so I opened our door up and then ran down stairs with the 2 babies to meet them! Of course Trystan was in HEAVEN to see Grandma and Grandpa! And she was REALLY in heaven when she saw they were bearing GIFTS!!!
Long story short, they came to the room, did a little Christmas with the kids and had a blast!
Around 7, David and Steph rolled in. We all loaded up and went to Islands for dinner! It was yummy, of course!
When we got back to the hotel we all sort of crashed because of the long day ahead of us.
Thursday morning we woke up at 6:30. Everyone was excited and we loaded up for a long, cold, frustrating, busy, crazy, insane Christmas at Disneyland! We got there around 8:30 and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! We got RIGHT in, we went RIGHT on It's A Small World, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White, Pinnochio, The Carrosel and Dumbo. It was PERFECT!!! It started to rain so I put on the "Tarp" and it worked WONDERFUL!!! Trystan and Riley stayed dry and warm under there all day long!!! Did I mention just how AWESOME that thing is????
After that we headed over to the "BIG" people rides. We rode Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Star Tours, Watched the Billy Hill show, rode Jungle Cruise and were leaving the park by around 5:30. The day was PERFECT!!! There wasn't TOO many people there, the weather wasn't TOO bad and we all had a great time!
We went into Downtown Disney and while Phillip and my Dad stood in line for us to eat at the Mexican Restaurant there, we took Logan and Trystan and let them make their Build-A-Bears from Uncle Packy and Auntie Holly!!! Logan picked a wolf just like Zacks. He named him Spike. Trystan picked a Pink-Haired doll and named her Dolly! They both LOVE their new friends...and yes, they both sleep with them every night!
We all got back to the room and David and Steph crashed. We put all 3 kids to bed and then played a game of Spades with Mom and Dad...until I got HYSTERICALLY tired and coudn't keep from laughing and crying at the same time.
We got up around 7:30 Friday morning and after running to Rite Aid and getting breakfast, we got to Disneyland around 11:00. BAD BAD BAD move!!!! The line just to park was SOOOOOOO packed!!!! We waited in that line for almost an hour! INSANE!!!
Thankfully tho, I think most everyone went to Disneyland, and we went to California Adventures!
We had a BLAST there too, but the kids were a little more tired and grumpy that day because of the long day at Disneyland the day before.
We decided to leave there around 8:00 pm and went to Outback for a yummy dinner!
After that we went to Starbucks and then back to the room for another round of Spades. This time it was David and Phillip against Mom and Dad. It got QUITE hysterical!!!! Needless to say, Phillip and David were VERY mean to Mom...lol!!! We were all laughing alot during that game.
I ended up going to bed before the games were over but I fell asleep listening to everyone HOWLING laughing!!!
Saturday we all just kicked it around the room til about noon and then went to Bucca de Beppo's for lunch!! YUMM!!!!
After that we shopped for a little bit and then headed back to the hotel for some rest before going to Medieval Times that night!
Of course, Medieval Times was a BLAST and the kids LOVED the show!!!
Sunday morning we all woke up and said good bye to Mom and Dad. The kids were VERY sad to see them go!!!
After we all checked out then we met David and Stephanie for breakfast/lunch and Polly's Pies! Talk about good ol home cookin!!!
We finally headed home around 2 and got back in at 3 on Sunday afternoon. We didn't even unload the car...we just walked in, changed diapers, put on jammies, tucked everyone in and CRASHED for about 2 hours!!!
And I'm STILL not completely unpacked.....UGH!!!

I am so sorry that I haven't blogged in QUITE a while! Life has been pretty hectic.
Having 3 kids is AMAZING...but it sure is alot of work!....
But if you think about it, I really have NOTHING on my friend Shawna Waage
She is TRULY my hero!!!

Well I wanted everyone to know that I am still alive...and I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!
Eat lots of Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Yams, Stuffing, Cranberries, Dumplings, Corn, Rolls, Gravy, Green Bean Casserole, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Apple Pie, Ice Cream and whatever else you can force into your stomach!

If any of you are doing any Black Friday shopping I wish you all the luck in the world.
I have never got to do the whole Black Friday shopping because I always spend Thanksgiving day here with Phillip's family and then get up early Friday morning and travel to Fresno to be with my family.
Well this year is the same....except I am go to Ontario Mills Mall at midnite Thursday night/Friday morning to do some shopping with my CRAZY and INSANE friend Holly!
We will shop all nite long and then I will travel to Fresno exhausted.
It is sure to be a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!

I also want to tell you the things I'm thankful for (This is not a full list but some of my top priorities)
*First and foremost I am so thankful that I know who Jesus Christ is! I am so very thankful to be a fourth or maybe fifth generation Pentecostal!

*I am thankful for my WONDERFUL husband, Phillip! He is everything to me!!!

*I'm thankful for my 3 BEAUTIFUL children, Logan, Trystan and Riley Colt! They are all such MIRACLE babies! I count myself TRULY blessed to have 3 kids.

*I'm thankful for my house, car, clothing, CELLPHONE =), and all the other material things that I really don't NEED but God has blessed me with!

*I'm thankful for such a wonderful family. My dad, mom, brother David and sis n law Stephanie! I'm also thankful for my Poppy and Nama! These are genuine Christians!! I am so very thankful that I can count on all of them to be there for us! I love you all very much!

*Most people can't say that they are HONESTLY thankful for their InLaws (some call them OutLaws), but I am very very thankful for my father in law (and pastor), my mother in law (and pastor's wife), my brother and sis in law Joel and Erica and lil Trenton Vaughn and for my brother and sis n law Larry and Sarah and Natalya and Elayna. You guys are ALL incredible! I love you all!

*I am so thankful for my church, Inland Lighthouse Church! This has got to be the BEST church in the world! What an INCREDIBLE place to call MY Church!! God has blessed our church family beyond belief!

Last Saturday Laura Berrier ventured out with us to take my kids pictures for our Christmas cards. She was a VERY brave lady!!!
Laura is starting her photography business and agreed to do my kiddos!
It was VERY stressful, hectic, wild, full of tears, laughs, screams, dirt, grass, and CHAOS. But what else would you expect from 3 kids!

Girls Night Out at a ROCKING Concert

A few Monday nights ago several of my girlfriends and I went to a Gospel Choir Concert called "How Sweet The Sound" (you can see it here: http://www.howsweetthesound.com/)
It was AMAZING!!! We had a total blast!
There was several different choirs there, small ones, big ones, good ones...umm not so good ones. They had Donald Lawrence, Marvin Sapp and Hezekiah Walker as the judges for who won their region.
The winner for our region was from Riverside. It was Mt Rubidoux Seventh Day Adventist choir. They were ABSOLUTELY touched by God. I can't even begin to explain how powerful the spirit of God feel when they got up to sing!
I'm so glad I got to go and I plan on going next year!

Yesterday was my dad's 50th birthday. I didn't post a blog on his birthday because I was so busy getting stuff ready for a SUPRISE trip up to Fresno for his party after church last night.
My mom planned a birthday party for dad after service on Wednesday night. With it being a week day we told them that we wouldn't be able to make it for the party. With Logan in school and Phillip's work and all....BUT, we are also known for making suprise visits for each other!
My parents have shown up for several different occassions at our church without letting us know....so it was time to pay them back.
I packed and got stuff ready Wednesday morning, car washed, vaccumed, house cleaned, snacks and drinks packed for the trip, and picked Logan up from school at 2:30. We met Phillip back at the house and headed out at around 3:15. We pulled in to Truth Tabernacle at 7:30. I had to get all 3 kids dressed for church in our car because we were running late.
We were supposed to go to David and Stephanie's (and baby Barnes) house to get dressed but with running so far behind schedule we just did the quick change in the car!
When we got to church we had to ask the usher to make room for us on the pew with my parents and the Baglins. They were all VERY shocked when we walked in.
Dad's party was quite a $UCCE$$ =)
Mom made KILLER desserts!!!
And Phillip was QUITE the worker bee...running around helping get everything set up and torn down.
All I could manage to do was SPILL a ton of stuff. Don't quite know what was wrong with me, but I was butterfingers!!!

Sadly, we didn't take ANY pictures...I am so bummed about that!
But just take it from me...as a good friend once said...My Dad makes 50 look GOOD!!!

I could get very sappy and make everyone cry...but I will leave that for Nama and Mom =)

Girls Night Out!!!

Well last night we FINALLY had a well OVER DUE Girls Night out!
Holly, Kim, Maureen and I (and Riley) all met at Holly's house at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon and piled in the van to head to Pasadena. We were on our way to one of the best places to eat...The Melting Pot!!! YUMMY!
We have been there a couple of times before and we usually just order a couple of different cheeses and a couple of different chocolates, but last night we got the full 4 course meal. It was actually REALLY good! The last Tuesday of every month The Melting Pot does a "Girls Night Out" and they have drawings, give away goodie bags, etc. Well...Maureen won one of the prizes of the drawings..She got a $50 Gift Certificate for The Melting Pot! What an AWESOME winning!
After we ate we went shopping at all the cool stores down in Downtown Pasadena.
There is Z Gallerie, H&M, GAP, Pottery Barn, PinkBerry, Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrell, etc.
We had an ABSOLUTE blast talking, eating, laughing, being crazy, etc!
I'm so thankful for such good friends!!!
I love you all very much!

Uncle Jason

Jason is one of Phillip, Joel and Larry's best buddies! He lives in Arroyo Grande. They grew up with Jason and he has become close to all of us through out the years!

Jason is know as Uncle Jason to our kids...And he loves kids...FROM A DISTANCE.

While we were visiting him last weekend we decided to see just how many kids Jason could handle...should he ever get married and decide to have children!

As you can see by the pictures he is quite comfortable at first...then he gets a little uneasy...then Riley was added to the pictures and it was all over for Jay.

It was one of those "had to be there" moments...It was VERY funny!

I just downloaded all the pictures off of my camera onto my computer and realized I haven't uploaded some of our pictures onto here.

We went to the LA County Fair...We ALWAYS like to go..at least once..probably more like 2 or 3 times. And we always like to try to go at least once with all of Phillip's family! We didn't get to do that this year and we are bummed! We usually go with Dad, Mom, Larry, Sarah, Joel, Erica and all the kids. We have a great time and we love watching Dad buy some of the most unique stuff from these poor sad money-hungry vendors!

We just got back last night from a trip up to Pismo Beach. Phillip likes to go at least once a year and fish..in a small tin boat..in the ocean..with Jason Skarta. SCARY!!!! But they enjoy it so much! We planned it for this past weekend and I had a HUGE treat because my wonderful friend Holly and her 2 boys came along with us. We had an absolute BLAST!!!! We got there around 6 on Friday night & went to McClintocks. We met Joel and Erica there. They were on a non-official post anniversary trip. Jason met us there too! We had a WONDERFUL dinner!
Saturday Phillip got up early and went fishing, while Holly and I took the kids to McDonalds and then to buy a boogie board for Logan. Phillip met up with us and took the boys to the beach and Holly and I took Trystan and Riley and went and did what we do best.....SHOPPING!!!!!!
We got a call from Phillip saying the waves were WAY too bad, the wind was WAY too crazy and the water was WAY too cold so they boys were DONE! They came back to the outlets and we all went and ate YUMMY Splash!!!
After that we headed towards home. Holly had booked a room at Residence Inn in Oxnard. She got a huge suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so we all stayed there Saturday night. Sunday morning we got up and had a great time just being lazy around the hotel. We then loaded up and went to the beach. We had an ABSOLUTE blast there!
I even boogie boarded....for all of about 5 minutes! I've never done that before and I would DEFINITELY like to try it again...it was soo much fun!
We then all made a sand castle..made ditches and forts and holes and all kinds of stuff in the sand! Phillip made a HUGE DEEP hole that Logan and Zack could fit into! We burried them up to their necks in sand!
We had a WONDERFUL time at the beach!

Chicken Stuffed Zucchini

Well dinner tonight was quite a success if I do say so myself.

I got a wild hair to try to do some kind of stuffed zucchini...seeing ours is about 6feet long and weighing about 10 lbs LOL.

I decided to cut the biggest zucchini in half long ways.
Spoon out all the seeds and dig a good amount of zucchini meat out.
Fill it with boiled & cubed boneless, skinless chicken breasts (season to taste)
Spray zucchini topped with chicken with Canola Oil spray
Add sliced mushrooms and cubes of Fat Free Cream Cheese
Spray again with Canola Oil spray

Cook in oven on 350 for 40 min.
Take out and let cool slightly
Sprinkle with grated cheese
Put back in oven and broil on HI for about 5 minutes

Serve after its cooled for a bit!

It was quite tasty!
Phillip added BBQ sauce to his for a little extra zest!

It seems like I have really been slacking off lately in the "blogging" world!
I've posted little tidbits here and there but nothing spectacular!

Our lives have become so busy that I hardly find a second to sit down and write.
Right now Trystan is taking a nap, Riley is taking a nap and Logan is at school....
PEACE, Peace, Wonderful Peace....
So why not sit down, and write a little bit! =)

This last weekend turned out to be quite adventurous for us.
On Tuesday, Logan started back to school. Big Second Grader...
He came home Tuesday very tired and with a slight rash under his arms.
I told him it was probably heat rash...seeing it was over 100 degrees that day.
He jumped in a cool shower and then we all headed off to AT&T to buy the new IPhones...which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! But that's another post for another day!

Tuesday night came and went without much more from Logan about the rash.
Wednesday he got up fine and went to school.
When he got home Wednesday afternoon he was itching all over, but still just the rash under his arms. He now was complaining of a sore throat.
I gave him some tylenol, had him take a cool bath again...and he CRASHED. Phillip stayed home with him from church that night.
Thursday morning Logan woke up saying he felt better. WHEW!!
BUT....when he came home from school Thursday afternoon it was a DIFFERENT story!
He was covered with a rash, had a sore throat and a slight fever.
I started a frantic search on the internet for WHAT ON EARTH this could be.
Things that popped up were:
Heat Rash
Measles
Allergic Reaction

I just took it that it was Heat Rash still. Phillip and I dropped the 2 older kids off at Nana's and went out with Pat and Holly for Holly's birthday Thursday night.
When we got back home I even started considering that it could be an allergic reaction to some fabric softener I used at Mom's house the weekend before.
But then Logan REALLY started complaining of a BAD sore throat. I checked him and it was BRIGHT red with bumps!
I sent him to bed and started my frantic internet search again.....and I found it!!!
SCARLET FEVER!!!!
I took Logan to the doctor IMMEDIATELY on Friday morning and SURE ENOUGH!!!
I didn't think Scarlet Fever was still around...lol!
They gave Logan a BAD BAD AWFULLY painful shot of Penicilin. Poor little guy SCREAMED!!!!
After all of that I had to take him to get some blood work done to see if there was anything else going on in his body. NOT FUN!!
The doctor said we had to keep him away from the other 2 kids so he had to go stay at Papa and Nana's house for a few days. He loved that...getting pampered and all.
Needless to say, he is still on the antibiotics but he is free and clear now! The doctor said he looked great on Monday. THANK YOU JESUS!!!
Now lets pray for 2 more days of no break out on the other 2 kiddos and we will be clear. The doctor says it takes about 7-10 days for it to show up in someone else.
Pray saints Pray!!!

In other news,
Trystan is growing like a weed!! I took her in for a check up recently and she was already 32 lbs. And she isn't even 2 yet!!!
She is a beautiful girl..and she's talking so much its scary!!!

Little Man, Riley, is nearing his 3 month mark. He is getting so big already. I don't want it to go fast seeing this is my last baby!
When I took him in a few weeks ago he was almost 12 lbs...sooo he has probably hit the 14 lb mark by now!
Both Logan and Trystan love him so much!!

Phillip and I are back on Weight Watchers again...so far so good! We started on Monday and it seems to be going pretty well!
It's so much easier to do it when you have a partner willing to help you out!

That's pretty much it for now. Hope I didn't bore you too bad!
I shall return.....

When we got home from PEAK, Logan was missing his friends, Zack and Ian, DEARLY, so he went over to their house and they had a LEGO day in Holly's Kitchen!

I really do feel horrible about not posting for so long. Our lives have been crazy busy lately!
We just got home from PEAK in Tulsa, OK and WOW...it was an INCREDIBLE meeting!
We left on Monday evening at 5:00 pm from Ontario airport. Our friends, Patrick and Holly, were so kind to drop us off at the airport! We met up with Joel, Erica and Trenton to fly on Xjet. If you have ever been on Xjet you know how TINY these planes are. On one side of the plane there is one seat and across from that there is two seats. It has to be the tinest plane ever! We were very brave and took all 3 of our kids with us to PEAK (how could we not tho'..this was a moment in history)
Logan was great on the flight...Riley was great on the flight..Trenton was great on the flight...Trystan...was..well...WILD on the flight =). Thankfully the flight attendant sat us in the very back of the plane. Phillip and I switched off and on with the 2 little ones. Our flight was 3 hours long and it was QUITE an experience trying to keep Trystan happy! She was tired but she RARELY takes naps with someone holding her. She usually is laid down and she falls asleep on her own.
Needless to say she did not fall asleep the whole flight. UGH!
We arrived in Tulsa at 11:00 pm Tulsa Time.
Tuesday was a very long day of getting all the quizzing stuff in order for the nationals.
Tuesday night was orientation. My wonderful honey was the quiz master for the Senior division and he did a WONDERFUL job!!! I was so proud of him. He worked SOOO very hard Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It was NOT a vacation for him at all!
Wednesday morning started quizzing. Phillip was busy with quizzing from 8 am til 7 pm that nite. I went to church by myself that night while he did stats for the next day.
Thursday morning was quizzing and service. Thursday night was service but Phillip didn't get back to the hotel til 7:30 and Trystan wasn't feeling good so we didn't go to that service. After service was over I was really bummed we didn't go because I heard it was INCREDIBLE!!!
Friday was the finals. Friday night was the awards ceremony at 7 and church started at 7:30.
All of the services were INDESCRIBABLE!!! Bro. Jason Calhoun preached the day services and Bro. Cody Marks preached the night services.
God visited Tulsa every single service!!
I can't wait til next year!

On Saturday we spent the day with my mother-in-law's side of the family.
We got to Uncle Gary and Aunt Delores Howard's house around 4:00.
There was QUITE a houseful there when we arrived.
Kids, Grandkids, Grandma's, Grandpa's, Mom's, Dad's, Aunt's, Uncle's...everyone was there!
We had a good time!
Our trip ended Sunday at 3:00 when we boarded our plane and headed back to California!
All 3 of the kids did good on the flight home!

So glad to be back home!!!

Phillip Turned 30 & Our Bakersfield Bible Quizzing Trip

Last weekend we went to Bakersfield for the WPF Bible Quiz Finals. We didn't have any quizzers there but Phillip helps with all the question reading, etc that goes into quizzing.
We headed up there on Friday afternoon and came back home on Saturday night. It was a quick trip but we enjoyed it.
Phillip celebrated his 30th birthday on Friday. I am such a BAD wife for not posting a Happy Birthday to him on here. But here it is now.

On Friday night after the tournament we all went to Johns Incredible Pizza. That was INSANE!

Mom and Dad got to come down on Friday night and stayed with us til Saturday. The kids REALLY enjoyed that!

Riley is getting big...He is 4 weeks old today. Time has FLOWN by!!!
He weighs 8lbs 4oz and is 22 inches long.

Again, all is well in the Booker Household!

This last weekend I got a wild hair (Which I do quite often) and decided we needed to get away and go to the beach.
I booked us a room on Priceline and got a KILLER deal on a room at the Hyatt on the Harbor of Newport Beach. Priceline's asking price was $230 a night for a room there. I did the "name your own price" thingy and got the room for $90. We were VERY excited about this price....until we pulled up and realized they were going to charge us $27 for Valet Parking or $19 to park it yourself. Then you have to have a bellboy or bell"person" deliver your luggage to your room because the rooms are down 15 flights of stairs. So after you tip the bell"person" & the valet..Priceline doesn't quite seem to give you a good deal! =)
But, we did have a blast! The kids LOVED the water and the sand...Logan "surfed" for a couple of hours...and Trystan had fun digging in the sand and running out into the water! Riley was held by mommy the whole time!

Also, you will notice the last 3 pictures are of carpet with some weird white powder poured all over it. Last night we were at the Booker's house with Bro. Marty Ballestaro, The Marxers, The Browns, The Berriers and all us Bookers. The kids were wild..the adults were getting a bit bothered by all the little screaming children..and Trystan decided to put on a show. She grabbed baby Elayna's baby cereal..and decided to dump the WHOLE box out on Nana's floor! At the same time, Riley decided he wanted to eat RIGHT NOW!!! So poor Phillip had to clean up the cereal while I took care of Riley!
Needless to say...that is our life with Trystan. There is never a dull moment.

Life Is Good...

Well, alot has happened in the last couple of days. I came home on Saturday, with empty arms, but IT'S OK. Our little guy is getting better and better each day.
Saturday after I got home was VERY VERY rough. I was exhausted, physically and emotionally.
Sunday rolled around and I felt MUCH better. Logan went to church with Nana for Family Day and Mud Football. Phillip, Dad, Mom, Trystan and I went to visit Riley.
After we spent some time with him, we went and had lunch. I begged, pleaded, promised and just about did whatever I could to get Phillip to let me go watch Logan play Mud Football. Finally he gave in, and I got to sit and watch my baby. It was SO worth it.
Monday Trystan woke up throwning up VIOLENTLY! It was very very bad. She was such a sick baby. We dropped her and Logan off at Nana's house and Mom and I ran to the hospital to see Riley. Poor Trystan just kept getting worse. Finally Mom and I came home and got her and Logan. She was a very very sick little girl!
I called her dr and they gave me a whole diet change for her.
If you kids are ever sick with throwing up & other nastiness...you HAVE to try this.
One tsp of heavy syrup from a can of peaches or other fruit every 15 minutes. NOTHING else!!! Then after 2 hours, if that is able to be kept down then you can add an oz of water, pedialite or gatorade every 15 min. NO DAIRY!
You do that ALL day long with NOTHING to eat!
After that day has passed and everything is kept down then you can offer as much to drink as wanted and start with half a cracker or a piece of banana. Still NO DAIRY!

IT WORKS!!! It is AMAZING! My baby is feeling SOOOO much better today!
And we are barely on the liquids day!

Today, Tuesday, we are dropping the kids off again with Nana so that we can go continue the nursing battle with little Riley. It's actually not a battle..he's doing good...but just learning the ropes!
I get my staples out today too...OH MAN!!! I do not like this! When I had Trystan, one of the staples was put in crooked and would not come out..it was aaawwwfffuuulllll!!! =)
Hopefully today will be better!

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for our family! God has been so good to us. He has protected us in so many ways! (Riley could have been born too soon, My uterus could have ruptured..killing Riley and threatening my life(more on that later), helping the rest of us not to get the flu and pass it on to Riley, etc.)

Well I go in to my dr again tomorrow at 9:00 am. Hopefully he will be a very nice man and tell me I can have this little man SOON! (My definition of soon would be tomorrow night lol)
I have finally come to grips with the realization that God has everything under control. DUH...lol
I now realize that no matter how much planning, strategic thinking, hoping, convincing, begging I do for this child to be born...when God's timing is right..it will happen. Nothing I do can change that.
I look back now and think..what if Riley had been born last weekend. His lungs would NOT have been developed. I would be home by now and he would not. I would have to be spending days and nights up at the hospital visiting my baby.
THANK GOD he is still safe inside my belly, growing & developing like he needs to!

I will keep you posted....and let's all hope and pray that I get good news tomorrow.

Well, I went ahead and did the Amnio test yesterday (Tuesday).
I was a huge chicken, and almost talked myself out of the test. I sat and asked the dr a million questions, hoping that he would say..oh the baby is fine..you don't need this test. Just go to the hospital and be delivered.
Well, of course he did NOT say this. He just kept saying, well honey, its up to you. But this is the only way you are going to get your doctor to deliver you early!

So, I bit my lip, laid down on the table and said...OK...DO IT!
IT DIDN'T HURT AT ALL!!!!! It was so easy...very quick and painless!
I did get a sudden feeling of nausea and a HUGE heat wave rushed over me, but I think that was just the adrenaline pumping. I was totally fine tho!

I got the results back this afternoon, and the little man's lungs are not developed enough yet. I'm so sad! I guess thats what I get for getting my hopes up too high! I will be 36 weeks on Monday so hopefully by then everything will be ok for delivery.
I go in to my doctor tomorrow (Thursday) and he will tell me the next steps we will take.

A trip back to the hospital....

Well, last night I made a trip back to the "hospital"...
(Mom don't panic..just keep reading =) lol)

It was different this time. I was looking forward to going. Yesterday morning I took it easy while Phillip and the kids went to Sunday School. When they got home, Phillip was absolutely exhausted, so for Father's Day I told him to just sleep and I would watch after the kids. I took them out to the backyard and let them run through a new sprinkler Grandpa and Grandma bought for them. We got in the pool and floated around for a bit and then came inside.
After Phillip woke up, we all started getting dressed. I was excited to be getting out again. This hospital trip I wasn't dreading. I couldn't wait to get there.
We left our house around 6:20 and got there around 6:35. When I walked in the first set of doors, I couldn't help but get teary-eyed. There were people that I knew standing in the lobby. Everyone said Hi, and how good it was to see me. I felt at home. When I walked thru the second set of doors, the tears started flowing. There was an unbelievable presence there, that I haven't felt in 8 weeks. As I looked around I saw more people that I know and love. Everyone was smiling..and so glad to see me. When I got to our seat, I sat in the chair, and just started crying. It felt so good to be in this hospital once again.

Now I'll explain...so mom can stop panicing about why I didn't call and tell her I was back in the hospital. =)
Bro. Booker calls the Church a hospital.
Think about it....The church is where the hurting, wounded, sick, distraught come to get their healing. Jesus is the greatest physician of all. What better hospital to go to than the church for your spiritual needs.

So, as I said...I got the healing that I needed last night in church, and now I am no longer worried about the Amnio test, the baby, the c-section...or anything else. God gave me peace. He's in control...and He's going to take care of all of us.

The Worlds Greatest Daddy...

Many of you think that you have "The World's Greatest Daddy"...well I think my kids would beg to differ.
Phillip is one INCREDIBLE dad. He loves his kids more than anything else in the world. (Well besides God and Me of course lol)
The last few months that I have been on bedrest has really given Phillip alot of time with the kids. He takes them grocery shopping, Walmart shopping, garden shopping, out to get lunch, etc.
I'm sure it isn't always a BLAST having to get 2 kids in and out of the car, in and out of the store, etc but he doesn't complain.
He loves his babies!

Phillip has the funniest ways of playing with the kids and really getting them going. They LOVE when Phillip wants to fight with them, wrestle with them, play in the water with them, etc.

Trystan is DADDY's little girl....and Logan is DADDY's Big (Fishing, Golfing, Gardening, Football, Baseball) Buddy!!!

But more than all of the daily life things that Phillip does for our kids, he is the perfect example of a GODLY man. Our kids know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Daddy puts God first in all that we do. Phillip is doing everything he can to make sure our kids grow up to love God and to put God first.
I am so thankful for a man like him!

I love you more than anything, Phillip and I am so proud to call you my husband and our, soon to be 3, kids DADDY!!!!

I finally broke free of "House Arrest" today. I've gotten out a few, VERY few times since I've been on bedrest. I went to Kristy Rowell's (Clark)wedding, I was out for maybe 2.5 hours, I went out for Logan's school graduation ceremony, I was only out for maybe 2 hours, and I went out for Patrick Garrett's graduation party, and I was only out for 2 hours then also!
Today tho, I was out ALL DAY LONG!

What is the reason for the "Jail Break"?

Does this mean I have to be responsible now?

So, last night Phillip told me not to make any plans because he was doing something for me for my birthday.
Well my suprise was going to Pat and Holly's house for a wonderful dinner cooked by 2 wonderful people!
Holly had the house decorated with balloons and signs saying, "Happy Birthday Katie", "You are entering the birthday zone" etc.
Patrick manned the grill, and Holly made some yummy side dishes.
To top it all off, she made a Texas Sheet Cake and Rice Krispy Treats!
We had a total blast!!!!
Thank you Patrick and Holly for making my day special! (I can't believe we didn't take any pictures!!)

Today I woke up and Phillip & the kids took me out for breakfast. While we were eating, I got a phone call from my mom wishing me a Happy Birthday! She then proceeded to ask if we would be home around 4:00 today. I said..Probably. She said, "OK good. Me & Dad and Poppy & Nama Baglin are heading down there to be with you on your B-Day."
I was TOTALLY SUPRISED...and VERY HAPPY!!!!! Poppy & Nama called Mom this morning and asked if they would like to go for a drive. Mom said SURE. So Dad headed home from work and they were off to see us!

After eating we went to Big Lots to find some gardening stuff. I wandered around the store...not quite sure how to act. Being out in public again is SCARY!!! =)

We came home and I sat in the pool with the kids while Phillip did stuff around the backyard.

Dad, Mom, Poppy & Nama showed up at 4:00...we went to eat dinner at 5:30. The gang got back in the car around 7:00 and headed back home to Fresno/Kerman! They are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Thank you so much to ALL of you for coming to see me and for making my day extra special!

After we left all of them we went to Home Depot. I drove around in a little motorized cart ( I love those things!!!) People probably thought, "Look at that fat, lazy, pregnant lady" lol...but I didn't care!
We bought a couple more trees for our backyard and some red paint!

As I am typing, Phillip is painting our main bathroom. He is an INCREDIBLE man!!
Thank you, Baby, for making my birthday very special! I love you so much!!!
(Phillip is repainting the bathroom, buying me some chairs to go around the pool, and a new umbrella for our patio table for my birthday!)

SO, here I sit, back in bed....definitely paying for my day out...contractions and exhaustion...but it was SOOOO worth it!
You only turn 30 once in your life! Might as well enjoy it! =)

And I'm going to church tomorrow night...for the first time in almost 8 weeks!!!

Oh...BTW.....we decided on a name tonite.
It was funny, we were booking our trip to Tulsa, OK for the PEAK conference in August, and realized...we can't book the baby on the flight unless we have his name. So, we sat down, laughing and throwing names back and forth.

Well a week from today I will be getting an Amniocentesis done to see if the baby's lungs are developed.
I can't tell you how nervous I am about this happening. I am usually pretty cool about tests and stuff but man this one makes me nervous.
I guess it's the thought that they are going to be sticking a huge needle into my HUGE stomach, poking through the stomach muscles, uterus, sac of waters and drawing fluid out...all supposedly without any kind of numbing agent. And, what if they poke the baby on accident???? I read one post on the internet that said, If for some reason the baby is accidentally poked he/she will move out of the way. EXCUSE ME???? Don't poke my baby!!! lol

Does this sound like fun to you?

If any of my readers have ever had this done before, please tell me your experiences with it. You can be honest. Tell me if it hurts like crazy or if I'm just being crazy. =)

5 Random Things To Know About Me..

Well, since I have nothing better to do with my life than be TAGGED by Ms. Erica Rose, I guess I will go ahead and post 5 random things about me.

Random Thing #1: I often have dreams of being chased and being involved in a shootout. I always seem to come out ok in the dreams but I'm still terrified while the "chase and shoot" is happening.

Random Thing #2: I love Mexican food.

Random Thing #3: When I was a teenager I was not afraid of ANYTHING! I would do anything, take any dare, go anywhere..I wasn't afraid. Now that I am older and am married with children...I'm a BIG FAT CHICKEN! =)

Random Thing #4: I'm about to have my 3rd C-Section, and I would LOVE to be able to watch it happening. I am very much into surgery and stuff like that. I think it would be really neat to see my own C-Section.

Random Thing #5: When I was a teenager I LOVED Dr. Pepper. Everything had to be Dr. Pepper. I had the Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers, Dr. Pepper purses, Dr. Pepper watch, I drank Dr. Pepper by the gallon...now..I can't STAND it!

Whew...my head hurts! It's hard to come up with such "Randomness".

Do you ever just get a craving for something? I mean, where it's almost unbearable??
Well I have one right now, and I'm sure it's just because I've been stuck in bed now for almost 6 weeks, and I know that I probably have another 2 or so weeks to go, but MAN I NEED this food I'm craving!!! =)
I guess I don't NEED it...but it sounds better if you say NEED instead of WANT!

I am craving Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, White Gravy, Corn, Fried Okra, and Biscuits!!! YUMMMMMMMY!!! If only Chili's would deliver. Or I guess I could just yell, "MOM!!!!" =)

So what did you crave during your pregnancy days? Or if you're of the Male Species...well nevermind, because Phillip says guys don't get cravings for weird things at weird moments. LOL...he says its just a woman thing! Or better yet...a Pregnant Woman thing.

Well today I had a doctor's appointment with a specialist because "Supposedly" I'm not gaining enough weight. I've gained 5lbs so far and my regular doctor wasn't too happy with that. (I'm THRILLED!!!)
So after waiting in the waiting room with 50 thousand other pregnant ladies for about 45 minutes I was finally called back.
When I went in they started asking me why I was there ect. I told them poor weight gain and preterm labor. They asked if I was on any meds and I told them yes. When I told her what I was on, she said, "Oh wow...they aren't messing around with your labor." I guess that meant I was on a pretty high dose of meds. (I KNEW there was a reason why I've been acting like I have lol.)
She then proceeded to tell me that from now on, I have to go into their office 2 times a week to be put on the monitor (Stress Test). This dr's office is at least 25 minutes from my house...UGH!!!!
But on to the good news...
From all my calculations I have figured that I am 32 weeks today. It's always been kind of "sketchy" as far as the REAL due date but I've kinda tried to stay in the middle of the numbers.
When they started the ultrasound she said..."Well, you are farther than we thought. You will be 33 weeks TOMORROW!!!" That is AWESOME news for someone counting the days on bedrest!!!
She also told me that "Little Man" weighs 4lbs and 9 oz. INCREDIBLE!!!
So all in all...I'd say today has been a good day!

Since I've been on bedrest, there has been alot of stuff going on around me. Seeing that I don't get to participate in most of the "activities", I have now become the destinated "photographer". (If only I was half as good as my sister in law, Steph, or Holly!)
I am usually set up somewhere...either in my bed, on the couch, in a recliner or my newest adventure has been a chaise lounge outside. I'm handed the camera and told, DON'T MOVE!!! Just take pictures!

So here is some of the pictures I've captured over the last couple of days.
The only pictures I didn't take are of the Baby Dedication, which I had to miss on Mother's Day. I was very sad about that to say the least! My wonderful friend, Holly, took these pictures and emailed them to me!

Well it has been exactly 2 weeks today that I have been on permanent bedrest. I can't belive I am going through this whole thing AGAIN! It seems like just yesterday I was on bedrest and pregnant with Trystan.
I could totally feel sorry for myself and do the whole "Oh poor me..I have to lay in bed for 6 more weeks." but the person (people) who I really feel sorry for is: Phillip, Logan and Trystan.

I dont even know where to start on how much Phillip and Logan have taken care of me these last 2 weeks. They are SO unbelievable. Phillip gets up in the morning and makes sure I have breakfast of some sort & water to drink. When Logan gets up,he gets ready for school and then him and daddy clean up the dishes from the night before. Logan loads the dishwasher and starts it all by himself. Phillip cleans the kitchen and any other part of the house that might have things laying around. Then Phillip & Logan are off to work and school. If Phillip has a full day ahead of him, then he has arranged for someone to take care of Trystan all day until he can get home. If he doesn't have many calls then I usually take care of her until he can get back home and then he is off running errands and he takes her with him.
At 2:30, Logan gets out of school. Either Phillip picks him up or he has it arranged with Papa and Nana to get him.
By the time Phillip gets home it is about time for dinner and he goes straight to the kitchen to start making stuff. He has made some VERY GOOD dinners. After we all eat, Logan and daddy go and straighten up the kitchen. (Trystan usually tries to unload the dishwasher as fast as Phillip and Logan try to load it.)
Lately Phillip has been on a kick of making our backyard look beautiful. He has been working on getting our sprinkler system up and running. He spent all day Saturday doing that and now it all works! Today he went and bought tons of seeds for flowers and vegetables and him and Logan are going to plant them this week. My backyard is gonna be beautiful by the time I get off bedrest!

Phillip has GOT to be exhausted and yet his main concern is making sure I am ok.

Phillip and Logan BOTH are on my case all the time. If I get out of bed either one or both of them will say.."Where are you going" and if I am going ANYWHERE besides the bathroom I am DEAD MEAT!! They get EVERYTHING for me. If I need a water, if I want a different book, whatever it is that I need they get it for me.

I have the most AWESOME husband,son and daughter in the whole world!!! God couldn't have put 3 better people in my life. It makes me feel so special the way they take care of me.

How am I ever going to repay them???????

The World's Greatest Mom

I know everyone says they have the BEST..whether it be Husband, Kids, Parents, In-laws, dog, cat, car, house, church, etc. But, I seriousl doubt that ANYONE could compete with me on having the world's GREATEST & BEST MOM!
This last week my mom came down and stayed with me from Wednesday til Saturday to help me while I'm on bedrest.
I expected her to just come, entertain the kiddos, help me if I needed it, but basically just enjoy being here. Well if any of you know my mom, you probably know that me thinking that was a bit far-fetched.
She came into my house and was like a WHIRLWIND. She didn't stop moving from Wednesday til Saturday.
She cleaned my house, closets, did laundry, went through all my kids clothes and helped me get rid of a TON of stuff, she took me to the doctors, made lunch, dinner, gave the kids baths, washed all my bed linens, cleaned under beds, read Trystan 50 MILLION books, played darts with Logan, fed Daisy, watered the flowers, rubbed my back, and I'm sure there is tons more stuff that I have forgotten.
She was INCREDIBLE!!!!!
SO, Don't try to argue with me...just agree with me...my mom is truly the BEST!!!

I love you mom and I want you to know how much I really do appreciate all you did for me this week. You made one of my 6 weeks go by quickly!

If you put all of those things together you can come up with one WACKED OUT person.
Last night I had a rough night. But it was a weird rough night. As I am typing this story out, I can't stop laughing and crying AT THE SAME TIME! (Again, blame it on the pills, hormones, contractions and being a female!)

Phillip and I decided to have an early night of rest so we all went to bed around 8:45. The kids climbed in by me and we laid there and played a Nancy Drew game on my laptop. I kinda started having some contractions but wasn't too worried about it. Around 9:30 I felt more contractions so I went ahead and sent Logan to bed and started getting Trystan ready for bed. At 10:00 I put her in her bed and climbed back in bed hoping to fall asleep early! Well at 3 am I still had not fallen asleep and poor Phillip knew I was restless so he wasn't getting any sleep either. My contractions were in my back and the pain was going down my legs, so I couldn't keep them still.
I took my 3 am dose of Terbutaline and hoped I would fall asleep.

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REALLY INSANE...

Around 4 am I sat STRAIGHT up in bed and started yelling "OH JESUS, JESUS, JESUS"!!!!!!
Phillip, being the good protective husband that he is, JUMPED out of bed and immediately started CLAPPING HIS HANDS and yelling "HEY, HEY!"
He ran to the front door and THREW it open...yelling out into the neighborhood...
He thought that I heard someone breaking in the house. Our house got tagged the other night and Phillip had just written a post on his website about it, so I guess in our subconscience we were both kinda worried about that.

The bad part is...when he came back in the room, I was staring at him like he was so weird...I have NO idea why I sat up in bed and started yelling. I honestly don't have any recollection of what I was thinking or doing, but yet I thought I was still laying there in bed tossing and turning.

Weird things happen when you put Pills, Contractions, Hormones and Females together.

Here We Go Again!!!

Well it is official...Dr's orders and all. I am on COMPLETE bedrest! ARG..and I thought I was going to make it this time without it!
So I am on complete bedrest and taking the AWFUL medicine Terbutaline. The side effects of this horrid med is shaking, VERY fast heartbeats, and utter insaneness..as Phillip would say! lol. I have to check my pulse before I take each dose to make sure that my pulse isn't above 120....120 people...thats an INSANE rate!
I was admitted into the hospital on Monday because they performed a "Fetal Fibronectin" test on me and it came back positive. Positive means I could POSSIBLY have this baby within 2 weeks. Mind you, I am only 29 weeks right now...so this IS NOT good. I was immediately put on a rotation of shots and pills, shots and pills of Terbutaline every 2 hours, from about 7 pm Monday night until around 1 pm Tuesday afternoon. During this time my pulse got up to 130 so they had to slack off on the meds a bit!
So, I have decided that if I don't want this baby to come in 2 weeks, I better keep myself PLANTED to the bed!

Tata for now...I have to go take more psycho med =)! (I'll NEVER understand why ANYONE would want to take REAL drugs!!! Its a HORRIBLE feeling!)

My toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will my heels spill over the backs. And the sides and tops of my feet will not pudge out between the straps.

I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free. I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.

I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow.

I will shave the hairs off my big toe.

I won't wear pantyhose even if my misinformed girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it the real good. (NOTE: Sandalfoot pantyhose are acceptable :-))

If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck it back into place hoping it will stay put. I will get my shoe fixed or toss it.

I will not live in corn denial, rather I will lean on my good friend Dr. Scholls if my feet need him.

I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kids' sizes. This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others. No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.

I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.

If I have been privvy to the magic that is Foot Soup, I will share that knowledge and experience with the non-initiated.

I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals. Someone has to tell her that her toes are as long as my fingers and no sandal makes creepy feet look good.

So Phillip and I seem to be having a really hard time coming up with a name for our little guy that is going to be coming into this world sooner rather than later.
We thought we had a name picked out but now it just doesn't seem to fit.
I'm asking for HELP!!!!

A few things that we are up against is this:
1. Both of our kids names end in "an" (Logan and Trystan) therefore...do we need to continue on with the "an" theme??
2. We both like the idea of going with something totally different and being a little more traditional...like Max, for instance.
3. We can't agree on ANYTHING!!!

So please, my wonderful readers, give me your ideas!! (Wacky or normal...they are all welcomed!)

Well, Easter is officially over...It was a WONDERFUL success. I had some TREMENDOUS help pulling it all together. I couldn't have done it without all of them.
We had over 1100 people in attendance between the 3 productions. God was so good to Inland Lighthouse Church.
As for our Easter Team Contest that I spoke about previously, the RED team WON!!!!! Yeah!!!!! Phillip did an INCREDIBLE job in being the captain of our team! Between him and Scott Blair, the RED team didn't stand a chance of backing out of helping!
Caleb and Sarrah Dillon did a GREAT job with the blue team as well. They were great captains!

So, the pregnancy is moving along rather QUICKLY!!! I am already almost 26 weeks. My kids come about 4 weeks early so...I only have about 10 weeks left to prepare for this little man. AAAAHHHHH!!!!!
I have already made a trip to the L & D on Monday night because of contractions. My doctor was nice to me THIS time and just gave me a shot of Terbutaline and sent me home. I'm on very EASY bedrest, meaning...take it EASY...don't do anything stupid! I'm also very very bad at drinking enough water...so I got a good lecture on being dehydrated from the nurse at the hospital. Since then I have been trying to do better on that part!

Bible Quizzing, Revival and Easter Outreach-Drama

I am sure that I could come up with many excuses as to why I haven't been posting on my blog, but I won't! I will just tell you that I have been extremely busy with a Bible Quizzing trip to Bakersfield, starting last Friday at noon and ending back home Saturday/Sunday morning at 1:00 a.m. We have also been in revival for the last 3 weeks with Bro. David McKemy, going Sunday am and pm, Monday and Tuesday. We then have had Easter drama practice on Wednesday nights. I am directing the drama so I have been quite caught up in that. Last night was our Easter Outreach kickoff! Phillip is the captain of the RED team....Caleb Dillon is the captain of the blue team! To say that last nights "KICK OFF SERVICE" was insane is putting it VERY mild!!!! Our church went OVER THE TOP having such a GREAT time rallying for each team!
I have posted some pictures of various stuff that has been happening, so that you can see I truly am quite a busy person at the moment!

Hopefully I will get better at the blogging once Easter is over.

Whew...good thing I didn't come up with a lot of excuses why I haven't posted!!! =)

Tonight was no exception! The only difference was..Trystan was watching me. After I was done throwing up Trystan decided to copy me.

I have once again let my reading audience down! What a horrible example of a blogger I have been! I repent of my bad blogging ways and I do intend to make a right turn and get back to the faithful blogging of the past!

Our lives have been flying since December! We had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year with family! God was so good to all of us and blessed us once again with a great Christmas!
Logan was such a blast to watch open all his presents! He is a BIG boy now and so he got his first BIG boy bike! NO TRAINING WHEELS!!! He loves his bike! He also got a very cool cap gun riffle! Every boy needs a gun!!...or in Logans case...16 guns!
Trystan was a TOTAL doll opening all of her present! She LOVED tearing the paper apart and seeing what was inside! She even started opening other peoples presents if she didn't feel they were moving quick enough!
I'm so thankful for both of my children, my wonderful husband and the extended family on both sides! God has TRUELY TRUELY blessed me!

New Years eve was alot of fun. We went over to some friends house and had a potluck and played games until midnight! When midnight HIT, everyone in the neighborhood KNEW it! All of the kids at the house (which was probably about 15) had pots, pans, lids, spoons, forks...whatever made noise and they banged and SCREAMED at the top of thier lungs for probably 15 minutes! It was QUITE insane!

Yesterday was a GREAT event for us. We got a phone call on Thursday night at 11 pm that Erica and Joel were heading to the hospital. Erica's water had broke...and the baby boy was on his way!!! We just KNEW that we would be getting a phone call in the middle of the night saying, "Hurry, come down..he's almost here!!!" Well, it never happened...neither did it happen on Friday morning. We waited all afternoon and finally went and picked up Logan from school at 2:30 and headed over to the hospital! Needless to say...Baby Booker did not make his appearance until 9:15 or so LAST NITE!!!! Poor Erica, she was having SUCH a rough time! But I can only imagine how she must feel today....He is a TOTAL doll!!!! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT in every way! He was 6lbs and 10oz. 19 inches long!!! And don't ask me his name...because as of last nite...they still weren't sure! =)

My other sister in law, Sarah, is going in on Wednesday night at midnight to be induced for her delivery! She is expecting another little girl! So, next Thursday we will be doing the whole hospital thing all over again!

Needless to say...the Booker household is growing in LEAPS and BOUNDS!!! We have all joked that Bro. Steve Pixler would be very proud of the Booker's....we are producing a "Quiver Full"!!!

......................And I too am Pregnant again!

Christmas, Christmas Time is Here!

I have been very bad about posting lately. It seems like everytime I finally climb in bed (which is where I usually do most of my blogging) I end up falling asleep before I can post anything new!

The other night Phillip and I and the kids did our house decorating. We had a lot of fun. We dug out every box that we have ever had that contains Christmas decor in it. Thankfully we only found 2 black widows and 1 dead mouse in our garage. The 2 spiders decided to come into the house to get warm but they were properly disposed of! The poor little mouse was dead before we could KILL it ourselves! =)

Last Sunday morning Logan starred in our kids Christmas play, Bows of Holly!
He was Mayor Poindexter! What a cutie pie he was! He looks SMASHING in his suit! He was so nervous to do his part. When he walked out he looked like he was going to faint! He was shaking so bad! Poor Baby!

As far as my Christmas shopping...I am doing HORRIBLE this year! I have bought all of 2 gifts! And I bought those MONTHS ago! Hopefully next week I get "In Gear" and do the rest!

And the last NEW thing happening here..... TRYSTAN IS FINALLY WALKING!!!!! For reals this time! My house is no longer safe!

Tonight the church actually pulled off a surprise birthday party for Bro. Booker. It was a GREAT success and a WONDERFUL turnout! And to top it all off his pastor, Bro and Sis Moss, were in service with us!

The service went as normal until RYC got up to sing. They started out a song that talked about pastors being given to us..and at the end it said..."And we just want to say"...and then they started in "Happy Birthday"..Bro. Booker was QUITE surprised!!! After that there was an old tape of Bro. and Sis. Booker played. They were singing and it was quite funny! There was also a slideshow presented, which was put together by Phillip. He did an EXCELLENT job!! The church and Sis Booker purchased a BEAUTIFUL marble chess table for Bro. Booker. After service we had a party for him in the fellowship hall.

I stole my centerpiece idea from pictures I saw on Sis. Elms blog. They were from Bro. and Sis. Jonathan Elms installation service I believe it was.
Hope you don't mind, Sis. Elms =)

I decorated the fellowship hall in chocolate brown, lime green and white...it was very festive and alot of fun!

Maaco Grand Opening and West Coast Conference

Well, we finally had my dad and mom's OFFICIAL Maaco Grand Opening the first weekend of November. It was a pretty good turn out. We had a lot of fun! The local police department brought out K9 dogs and did demonstrations for everyone. We had the "Mad Scienist" there to do science experiments and we had DELMAR's Karaoke...anyone who visited the grand opening will NEVER forget their experience with the Karaoke...lol. It was great fun!
I talked to mom yesterday and it sounds like the grand opening is just what they needed. Things are hopping and popping down there now!

West Coast Conference has come and went also. I stayed in Fresno from the grand opening until WCC. It was a great conference this year...but some of the services were VERY long. My poor kids are STILL trying to recover from the late nights and all of the hairspray and "Dolling up" that we did.
Logan was as HANDSOME as ever..and Trystan was the PRINCESS!!! And my husband...WOW =) Did he ever look GREAT!!!! He got sooooo many comments on how skinny he is now. Keep up the good work baby! I am so proud of you & I love you!

I stopped by Myndfood today and was inspired to go thru some of my old yearbooks, pictures and letters.
I was taken back some 10 PLUS years. I can't believe it has been that long. Time really does fly when you are having fun.
I won't go into detail with the letters. ( There is too much dirt in those...some of which my parents STILL dont know about..LOL!)
I did start looking at some of my yearbooks and couldn't help but look to see what was written in each of them from my friends. Since PJ has posted some old "writtings" from myself and Shegazelle I will do the same.

Here is some of the things PJ had to say to me,
1994 "So what if you are already getting your license..I will have mine in 1 1/2 years. It's kinda been nice knowing you this year....."
1995 "It has been a very fun year. And so what if you have your license. I get mine in 13 months. And the answer to the question you asked me on Friday is NO. AND If you touch my hair again I will have to kill you. "
1996 "Well I really don't know what to tell you, except when you get responsible and learn how to get things done for student council, come back. It's been fun carrying your workload for you. You've been a good friend, and always remember...NO ONE RULES MY LIFE!!!"

Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder

Well at least I HOPE that is the case with you my wonderful readers.
I have to apologize for being so bad about keeping up with the blogging world.
Our life has been flying by so quickly that when I do find time to sit down and look at my laptop...I end up falling asleep.

Alot has happened since my last blog. Trystan's actual 1st birthday has come and gone (Oct. 2nd), Phillip and I took a business trip to Columbus, Oh (Oct 3rd thru the 7th) and we've just ended a FABULOUS Choir Clinic with Sis. Doretha Jones (Oct.11th thru the 14th). And tonite, I am sitting at home with a sick little girl.

So, I've been thinking alot about the holidays and how we spend sooo much money on gifts and whatnot for those we love. Trying to be a "Good Gazelle" I am trying to think of creative ways to have a WONDERFUL Christmas with those I love and give "Creative yet Inexpensive" gifts.
I'd love some feedback from you, my readers. Give me ideas, thoughts, fun things to do.

Yesterday we celebrated Trystan's 1st Birthday!
We had her party at our house and it was a GREAT success!
She was an absolute doll.
I can't believe she is one already! WOW...where does the time go???
She did so good opening gifts but when it came time for the birthday cake....well I'll just let you watch the video and judge for yourself!

Elder Morton's 35th Church Anniversary!!

This past weekend we went to Fresno for the 35th Church Anniversary for Elder Morton and Truth Tabernacle!

Friday night was a banquet for all of the ministers that are in or have ever been in Fresno Church.

Saturday was the all church picnic. We had A LOT of fun!! There was tons of people there that I haven't seen in YEARS!!! It was good to see all of my old friends too.
We ate and ate and then the marrieds against singles men played baseball. Of course the married men won! =)
After that we had the marrieds against singles women baseball game. The score was tied 6-6 and the marrieds caught their last out..we were up for our last ups...and it started raining. Now who wouldn't want to play baseball in the rain?????
I think it would be a BLAST!!! I was all for it...but everyone started running off the feild to gather all of their stuff and head home.

Sunday morning was regular service with Bro Ron Garrett preaching.

Sunday night all of the branch works and visiting ministers came. The church was PACKED OUT!!!! The choir sang, there was a very cute skit that was put on by the kids in the church about Elder Morton's heart surgery. My Sis-In-Law, Stephanie wrote it and she did a great job!!!

Elder Bill Garrett spoke and then Elder Morton got up and spoke and ended the service.

At the end of service we had a huge get-to-gether in the Family Center with Food and Fellowship!

All in all it was a great success!!!

My Feelings About the Gym

Dear Diary...

For my birthday this year, my husband purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since playing on my college tennis team 20 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.

I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Joe, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swimwear. My husband seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started!

The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress...

MONDAY

Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Joe waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile.

Woo Hoo!!

Joe gave me a tour and showed me the machines.

Joey was encouraging as I did my sit-ups. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!

TUESDAY

I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Joe made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air - then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. Joey's rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT!!

It's a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY

The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Joe was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying.

My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Joe put me on the stair monster. Why in the world would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators?

Joe told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other crud too.

THURSDAY

Joe was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late. It took me that long to tie my shoes.

Joe took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the ladies room. He sent Muffy to find me. Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY

I hate that jerk, Joe, more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, little cheerleader! If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it. Joe wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the barbells or anything that weighs more than a Sonic Route 44 Diet Coke. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY

Joe left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing him made me want to smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY

I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy.

Logan "The Corn Head" at the LA County Fair

Sorry I have been so bad about posting! I have been going crazy these last few weeks. I think my car has a weird demon inside of it because every weekend it is determined to drive to Fresno. I kind of get the feeling we will be driving there again this weekend.

Holly, Trys and I at Lake Arrowhead

Friday Holly and I loaded up and went to Lake Arrowhead to go shopping for all kinds of stuff! I bought 3 GORGEOUS dresses for Trystan from a boutique there.
We enjoyed walking around all of the shops in the BEAUTIFUL weather!!!
Being right there on the lake was WONDERFUL!
We ate lunch at a killer Thai restaurant..(a first for me..and WOW was it YUMMY!!)
Holly and I ALWAYS have a blast when we are together!

I did have a weekend at home this past Friday and Saturday and it was quite enjoyable!

Friday night we went to the Clarks church anniversary services and it was very very good!

The LA County Fair is in town right now and I have already went twice. We are planning to go again on Thursday. (Thank God for $5 after 5 pm...it fits in our blow money that way)

Today Phillip had a slow day at work so him and I spent the day together. He took me driving at the golf course. I think I might just take up golfing.
I did HORRIBLE...but it was alot of fun. Phillip, Caleb Dillon, Preston and Jarron Brown and various others from our church get together and play golf alot and they are always bugging me to go with them. ( I think its just so they will have someone that plays worse than them and for comic relief) So, who knows, after lots of practice maybe I will go!

Logan is LOVING 1st Grade. The first week of school his teacher had them get in reading groups and read. She told the class that Logan was the fastest reader. That made him feel really good..and HONESTLY he is an UNBELIVABLE reader. I'm blown away by how much he can sound out. "Hooked on Phonics" is working for him!

Trystan will be the big "1" in just a few short weeks. We are planning a birthday party for her next weekend. It will be a lot of fun!!! I got creative and made her a pink and yellow tulle tutu skirt. I also found her a pink princess crown. She is going to be a DOLL!!! I'm sure I will have a million pictures to post of that!

Phillip is doing EXTREMELY well with his diet...he has now lost 117 lbs and look FABULOUS!!!! I'm so very proud of him! Keep it up, Honey, you are doing AWESOME!!!

I Can No Longer Live!!!

Why don't we all just give up and die.....

I must send my thanks to whoever sent me the one about poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet towel with every envelope that needs sealing.

Also, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die in the hospital for the 1,387,258th time.

I no longer have any money, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special email program.
